About me

I am an experienced UX Researcher and Designer based in Malmö, Sweden, with a background in interaction design. My goal is to create seamless and user-friendly experiences by deeply understanding users' needs and pain points. My approach is human-centered, iterative, and data-driven, where I use my empathetic listening skills to solve complex problems.

I hold a BSc degree in interaction design and have gained professional experience as an intern UX designer at Ikano Bank and UX Researcher/User Researcher consultant for various projects. Currently, I am working on a mental health project as a self-employed User Researcher at the start-up company Exhale Health.

I am always open to new opportunities, whether freelance or in-house, and would love to discuss how we can work together to create exceptional user experiences.

Career Timeline

  • I conduct UX/UI design and research such as playtesting and competitive analysis for Landell Game's upcoming RTS title. Furthermore, I have designed the Landell Games company website which I’m currently managing.

  • I underwent a rigorous 4-week remote training in the UX/UI industry with Brainnest. Throughout the program, I completed three diverse assignments, which involved designing a meditation app, a food ordering app, and a dashboard web app.

During this immersive training period, I was fortunate to have a dedicated mentor who guided me in identifying design flaws and provided valuable feedback. As a result, I gained substantial knowledge and insights into creating effective user interfaces.

Moreover, I developed a strong proficiency in utilizing Figma, a powerful tool for crafting visually appealing and user-friendly wireframes and applications. This training helped me become more comfortable and skilled in leveraging Figma's capabilities.

I have uploaded my work through this link at Behance.

  • As a User Researcher at Exhale Health, a start-up company founded by my previous boss at BlueBerry Consulting, I work as a self-employed User Researcher. I am part of a small team of UX designer, and external front-end and back-end developers, where I conduct meetings and collaborate with them to ensure a user-centered approach to the development of our digital health platform. My role is crucial in understanding the needs and behaviors of our target users, and I am responsible for creating user flows, and wire flows, and conducting usability testing to inform the development process.

Some of my key responsibilities include:

    • Recruiting users within the target group for interviews & usability testing.

    • Conducting a competitive analysis to compare related work in the market.

    • Providing feedback on UI/UX elements.

    • Creating user flows to fill knowledge gaps and help the developers understand the use cases.

    • Creating wire flows to help the developers understand the connection between different wireframes.

As a User Researcher, I have achieved numerous improvements to the user experience and increased user engagement, which has been key to the success of the project. I am familiar with various user research methods and tools and I am always eager to learn and grow in my field. I have a strong background in User research and I am passionate about the digital health field, where I can make an impact on people's lives.

  • As a self-employed UX Researcher at TheNinetyNine, I gained valuable experience working on an interesting ongoing project for the client, GN Hearing, a manufacturer of hearing aids. My mentor, who had previously appreciated my contributions to a project at Ikano Bank, invited me to work on the project and take on additional responsibilities beyond user research. Unfortunately, due to financial factors, we lost GN Hearing as a client two months into the project. During the following months, while looking for new projects, I had the opportunity to assist my mentor in co-writing articles and translating them from Swedish to English for his other client, Desifer. These articles were about "Growth Hacking".

As a UX Researcher at TheNinetyNine, my responsibilities included:

    • Conducting professional presentations with the client to present findings and opportunities.

    • Conducting market research to investigate related work and competitors.

    • Conducting qualitative research methods including customer interviews and usability testing to gather valuable insights for upcoming iterations.

    • Suggesting potential hypotheses based on research.

    • Reaching out to customers and experts to participate in research.

    • Planning the user research including methods and logistics.

    • Participating in internal design sprints with clients to determine the Customer Value Proposition and potential concepts.

    • Providing feedback on UI/UX elements.

    • Collaborating with team and stakeholders through an iterative design process.

As a Co-writer at TheNinetyNine, my responsibilities included:

    • Co-writing articles with secondary research.

    • Translating Swedish articles to English.

This experience has been a valuable lesson in the world of consulting and the importance of being prepared for unexpected events. It also allowed me to develop my skills as a researcher and learn new skills in co-writing and translation.

  • As a User Researcher at Blueberry Consulting, I had the opportunity to work on a project focused on mental health for youths under the guidance of my previous boss at Ikano Bank. I was grateful for the trust placed in me and the opportunity to learn about the importance of empathy, especially in sensitive topics such as mental health.

    My responsibilities included:

    • Managing the recruitment process of participants for user research.

    • Conducting user interviews to gain crucial insights.

    • Analyzing user data to identify problems and hypotheses.

    • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their thoughts and goals.

    • Conducting a competitive analysis to compare related work in the market.

    • Analyzing competitors by creating a customer journey map for their service.

This experience taught me the importance of empathy, especially when working on sensitive topics, and helped me to understand the needs of people better. I also gained experience in user research and project management skills, which I believe will be valuable for my future career.

  • As an intern UX Designer at Ikano Bank, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Innovation Lab team and participate in an ongoing project focused on the circular economy. This experience provided me with valuable practical experience and allowed me to apply my knowledge from the university in a real-world setting. I learned about responsibility and gained insight into how larger companies are practicing UX.

    My responsibilities included:

    • Conducting UX research methodologies such as customer interviews, literature research, surveys, usability testing, and customer journeys.

    • Conducting market research to find existing work and trends.

    • Defining user-centric problems and opportunities based on UX research.

    • Working both independently and with my supervisor and mentor to achieve project results.

    • Assisting in creating an interactive digital prototype in Adobe XD.

This experience helped me to develop my skills in UX research, market research, and prototyping and gave me the opportunity to work on a real-world project. It also helped me to understand the importance of user-centered design and how it can be applied in a larger company.

  • The education provided a solid foundation in UX and interaction design, which I still rely on every day. It ignited my passion for UX design and human-computer interactions, and made me comfortable working in all phases of the human-centered design process, particularly using the "Design Thinking" and "Double Diamond" methods. From finding problems and patterns using qualitative and quantitative methodologies to ideating concepts and creating functional prototypes.

I learned a lot about teamwork during my education as most of the projects were group work. I took classes in Service Design, Co-design, and Games & Play, and I also learned some programming such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript which I used to create digital prototypes. Overall, the education was creative and challenging, which I enjoyed a lot.

During my education, I accomplished and conducted the following:

    • Designed user flows, storyboards, mood boards, and user journeys to convey new product ideas and understand users' situations.

    • Conducted research on Human-Computer Interaction-related topics and wrote academic papers to reflect them.

    • Worked on group projects to research and develop new concepts within strict deadlines.

    • Performed several user research methods using strategic interview techniques, surveys, and observations in order to find problems.

    • Created physical prototypes (clay, foam, cardboard, paper) and digital prototypes (Arduino, IFTTT, and Noodl).

    • Developed websites and prototypes using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
